Dear Dorchester Families,
What a busy week it has been. Thank you for the generous donations to the FODS Mothers’ Day Shop. This is always a lovely fundraiser and a sign that spring is really on the way.
It was also absolutely lovely to celebrate Inclusion Day yesterday with our colourful non uniform to raise awareness of a whole range of visible and invisible disabilities.
Every child knew why they were dressed in different colours and could explain it too. It was great to see in Year 5 and 6 that they knew so much about disabilities and invisible disabilities. They were all so kind towards each other as well. The children got a huge amount from the discussions in class about inclusion and why it is important that it is ok to be different and it is good to be different!
Also, our winners of the Egg Raffle this week were: Frankie (Bronze), Rhianna (Bronze), Rosie (Orange) and Nancy (staff member in Year 1). Those who did not win this week will be entered into next week's egg raffle - how eggcelent is that?
As always I would like to wish you a lovely weekend.
Mrs Bell
