Representing Dorchester
At Dorchester we are very proud of our children and the brilliant ways that they represent the school.
Our Boys' and Girls' Football teams and our Netball team play in the Sutton Primary School leagues and have regular competitive matches against other schools; we take children to tournaments and events for other sports both after school and during the school day. This year, for example, groups of children have competed in tournaments for 10 Pin Bowling and Archery!
Our incredible choir love to perform and are currently rehearsing for their upcoming concert at the O2 Area as part of the 5000-child mass choir "Young Voices". We have performed here for many years now, and it is always a highlight of the musical year. We have also previously taken the children to perform at Fairfield Halls, Royal Festival Hall and Wembley Arena!
Children are voted by their peers to represent their class at School Council and Eco Council, which is a huge honour and those children wear their badges with immense pride. These councils are an important opportunity for the children's voices to be heard, and they help to make decisions about the school, for example the names of the school houses, the charities we support and even the school rules - Ready, Respectful, Safe!
