Stars of the Small Screen

There was certainly excitement in the air on Thursday as the BBC visited school to use our gates as a set for an episode of their comedy series, Here We Go.

It felt a bit strange coming into a rebranded school, and parents and children who had missed the communication about it were a bit confused too.  Thank goodness we didn't have any visitors new to us that morning or they would have been very confused, wondering how they had ended up at the wrong school!

A number of our children and parents were fortunate to have the experience to act as 'extras' in the scene, adding authenticity to it by arriving at school whilst the characters from the show are at the gates trading football cards.  It is surprising just how much time and how many people are involved in filming what will be a few seconds of television.  After around 10 resets, the crew were happy with all they had captured - and we will, of course, let you know when the episode will air.

Thank you to all the parents who took part and well done to the children for being such superstars!
