Year 2: What toys did our parents and grandparents play with? How do they compare?

This week, Year 2 had an opportunity to look back in time at some of the toys that were played with by their parents and grandparents. Not only were they lucky to have some real photos of their parents and grandparents with toys (thank you to 1 parent in particular for this!) but Miss Flint and Miss Bromley brought in some of their old (and new) toys for the children to look at.

The children made some careful comparisons to the materials, colours and styles of different toys over time, and then had the opportunity to explore what different toys were like through play.

We spent the afternoon playing with different ages of Nintendo consoles. However, the Nintendo Switch was a clear favourite!
