Year 2: 新年快乐 Xīnnián kuàilè - Happy New Year!

Xīnnián kuàilè (Sheen nian kwai luh) - Happy Lunar New Year!

On Monday we will be celebrating further, in relation to our topic on China, but this week the children had an opportunity to celebrate by creating some snake decorations for the new zodiac.

We also investigated what school life in China is like. The children were surprised to find out that school children in China have longer school days, and they even do home work in their lunch time. They also sing the national anthem together every morning to start the day. There were some similarities, such as wearing a uniform and taking part in lots of lesson types.
