Year 2: What are the features of a letter?

This week, the children have been investigating what makes a good letter. We started with the key features, such as the sender’s address, as well as the recipient’s (the person it is being sent to). Then we looked at how to make our letters interesting. The children wrote out an invitation letter, convincing you all to come to our nativity next week. Persuasive suggestions such as "it has good jokes in it", "the singing is amazing" and "the props are great" are just a few of the creative ideas they came up with.

We are looking forward to the children applying their ideas to some independent letter writing for their Star Write next week.
