Year 2

Over the last week, the children have been working hard in Geography. Not only were they continuing to learn about ‘The World and Our Home’ - comparing what our local area is, compared to the big city - but they also continued to learn about the countries of Peru and Poland for our ‘Around the World’ showcase. Well done Year 2 - we are so proud of you.

In English the children looked at how to describe different settings, both from fairy tales and from either Poland or Peru. In Maths the children have been learning how to use their number bonds to ten to help them when subtracting. In Science, we talked about sustainability - and the children made a pledge to help around school and home when recycling, to help be more sustainable with the materials they use. They have worked hard and are ready for a well deserved break - thank you Year 2.
