Reception: what is your favourite nursery rhyme and why?

This week is World Nursery Rhyme Week! We have had lots of fun singing familiar rhymes and learning new rhymes. A particular favourite was ‘The Big Ship Sails on the Alley Alley Oh’. The links for the rhymes the children have learnt this week can be found on the next page. On Friday, we dressed up as our favourite nursery rhyme characters. The children all looked fantastic and thoroughly enjoyed singing and dancing with their friends.

In Maths, we have learnt how to find one more using a five frame and singing along to the rhyme, ‘One Elephant Went Out To Play’. We made our own giant spider webs in our classes to help us find one more.
