Reception: What new words and actions can you remember from Drawing Club this week?

This week Reception have been to Drawing Club! Drawing Club is an adventure through stories. It involves a short period of Time Together as a whole class, learning new vocabulary, reading the story and then the adventure begins. Then it is time for the children to explore their own ideas and creativity through their drawings and codes!

This week the story we took to drawing club was Not Now Bernard by David McKee. Bernard’s parents do not want to be disturbed by Bernard, which leaves Bernard in a bit of a pickle when he meets a monster in the garden. The children had some great ideas when creating their own monsters.

The vocabulary we learned this week: GOBBLE, DESTROY, IGNORE, FIERCESOME,

CHOMP, LEAKING, SPLATTER and ASTONISHED.
