Our First Week in Reception: What have you enjoyed at school this week?

Our new Reception children have had a very busy week getting to know their classrooms and the new routines. They have been learning to respect our school things and all know that when choosing resources we need to "choose it, use it then put it away." The children have enjoyed exploring both the inside and outside learning environments and they are all really excited to start full days next week. They have been practising their listening skills and the teachers have all enjoyed sharing some of their favourite stories with them. For many children the highlight of each day has been the visit to the lunch hall and they have all been enjoying trying different foods. The Reception staff have enjoyed visiting each of the children in their homes to find out all about their individual personalities. We are all really proud of how well the children have settled and we are looking forward to celebrating of all the children's achievements this year.
