Yr 5 V Cheam Park Farm - Through to the final!

On Friday afternoon, the Year 5 boys Football team had their semi final match against Cheam Park Farm. The boys were full of excitement and hoping to book their place in the Sutton and Cheam Cup Final!

Unfortunately, CPF took the lead after 15 mins and then went on to double their lead just before Half Time. The boys spirits at half time were still very high and they knew how to turn things around in the second half.

An early second half goal from Teddy A brought us back into the game, making it 2-1 and shortly after that, Ronnie managed to get onto the end of a loose ball and was able to poke it home to bring us back level at 2-2, with only 10 minutes to play!

Both sides had some chances, but the game finished 2-2. The game was then followed by extra time but the scoreline still remained level at 2-2 meaning the semi-final would be settled by penalties.

The boys took some brilliant penalties and, thanks to CPF hitting the bar twice in a row, we managed to get across the line and progress to the final! Well done boys!
