Girls Football team Vs Manor Park 21.03.25

On Friday afternoon, the girls football team had a home game at Nescot against Manor Park. The first half seemed to be very evenly matched with both sides having lots of chances, but thanks to some great DPS defending, we were able to stop Manor Park from scoring early.

Unfortunately, just before half-time, Manor Park took the lead with a shot from just outside the box. The girls didn't let this get them down and came out in the second half fighting.

We created lots of chances throughout the second half but it just didn't look like it was going to be our day. With 90 seconds left, we had a throw-in which Aiya launched towards goal, after a few deflections, the ball finally fell to Dolly who smashed the ball into the top corner of the net! 30 seconds after this, Manor Park had a fantastic chance to win the game, but thanks to a huge save from Lily, who tipped the shot onto the post, meant the game finished 1-1 and the points were shared. This was the last game of the season. The girls have shown strength, passion and determination all season.
