First match of the season
The girls headed out last Friday to play their first competitive game as a unit – for some of the girls this was their first ever football match too.

Won 4-2 (penalties) (2-2 FT)
It took a little time for the girls to settle and, at 2-0, down some were lacking a little confidence and composure on the ball. However they matched the resilience seen at the boys’ match, made huge improvements and worked really hard to level the score line to 2-2 at the end of normal time.
Penalties are never an easy way to finish a match but up stepped Dolly, Maya, Gkalena and Macey to bring the girls their first win of the season and a ticket through to the next round of the Cup.
Well done girls – a great start!
