Nursery: Can you sing your favourite nursery rhyme?
In Nursery this week we have been celebrating World Nursery Rhyme Week. The children enjoyed learning lots of different rhymes to recite by heart. We have been doing lots of activities to learn about rhymes and rhyming words. The children have been using playdough and loose parts to make nursery rhyme characters and drawing story maps to help them to remember different nursery rhymes. On Friday, the children came to Nursery dressed as a character from their favourite nursery rhyme and we were very proud when many of them had the confidence to perform the rhymes in front of their key worker groups. We also had our first early bird sessions where we invited parents/carers to come and explore different rhyming activities with their children. We hope that this will give them some ideas that they can use at home to support their child's learning.
