JLT first Spring Meeting

JLT met this week to discuss school wide matters. We re read the minutes from our last meeting and developed ideas from there as to how to move forward productively. 

It was decided that the charity focus for fund raising from JLT will be the British Heart Foundation, as it was found that several JLT members had family stories relating to this charity. Juliette, Year 5, has decided to put on a bracelet sale next Friday 31st after school, where she will be donating three quarters of the sales money to the British Heart Foundation. 

Some JLT members decided that they would like run some throwing and catching games on the playground next week too, to create different play opportunities in the playground other than just free play with the scrapstore playpod or matches the team sports zone. It was also suggested that we purchase some more hoops and skipping ropes for the blue cage in the playground too.

We asked staff to remind children of the safety in and around the team sports zone as some JLT members noted some children walking into the zone during matches which they were concerned could lead to accidents.
