Year 2: What does being a steward mean? How do Christians show that they are stewards?

 In RE this week we looked at harvest time from a Christian perspective. To Christians, the celebration of harvest is to thank God for his bounty. Christian Stewardship refers to the responsibility that Christians have in maintaining and using wisely the gifts that God has given to them.

During our lesson, the children were asked to think about the world around them and what they felt grateful for. We then all looked at how we could be responsible and look after these things, e.g. picking up litter, turning off lights/ taps, watering plants etc.
