Nursery: What was your favourite part of pirate day?

Our highlight of the week was Pirate Day on Tuesday. The children enjoyed finding out about real life pirates from History. They practised using their positional language to direct each other to the treasure. Our treasure hunt was very exciting and when the children found a gold coin, they were able to visit the pirate shop and buy a chocolate coin. We developed our physical skills by scrubbing the deck and walking the plank. We also learnt some new pirate songs and dances. We worked together to build a large pirate ship and we had fun sailing the seas.
