Year 2: How do we create an algorithm?

This week we learned what an algorithm is - a set of instructions that a machine will follow. The children were exploring how this works, by using the Bee Bots. We had to use the direction buttons on the Bee Bots and ensure that they travelled to the correct location on our Toy Shop mat. Some of us had to try a few times to make sure it ended up where we wanted it to go, and the children were very resilient. Once we tried a few times, we eventually got to our destination - well done for not giving up Year 2.
