New News Story - Year 1 10th September

The Year 1 children have had a brilliant first full week in school and adapted well to the new routines. We have been thinking about our emotions and how different things make us feel. We looked at our Zones of Regulations and reminded the children of how they can use them in school. In English, we have been reading the story 'Harry and the Bucketful of Dinosaurs' and the children have enjoyed describing the different dinosaurs. In Maths, we have been reminding ourselves of our numbers to 10 and the different ways we can make them using different objects and ten frames. We have been very lucky and used the new Reception play equipment where the children enjoyed digging in the sand, making mud soup in the mud kitchen and climbing on the climbing frame.
