Yesterday, our Year 3 pupils had an exciting opportunity to take part in a multi-skills festival – and what a brilliant day it was!
The children arrived full of energy and enthusiasm, ready to challenge themselves and try a variety of different activities. The festival included a wide range of skill-based stations designed to develop agility, balance, coordination, and teamwork. From football and Frisbee to Basketball and Tennis, there was something for everyone to enjoy.
One of the highlights of the day was seeing the children support and encourage one another. Whether it was cheering on teammates or helping a friend master a tricky activity, their positive attitudes and sportsmanship truly stood out. It was wonderful to see their confidence grow as they moved from one activity to the next.
The event wasn’t about competition, but about participation, enjoyment, and developing new skills – and Year 3 embraced this perfectly. They showed resilience when things were challenging and celebrated each other’s successes throughout the day.
By the end of the festival, there were lots of smiling faces (and a few tired legs!), with many children already asking when they can do it again.
We are incredibly proud of Year 3 for their excellent behaviour, teamwork, and enthusiasm. A big thank you to the organisers for putting together such a fun and engaging event.
Well done, Year 3!
6 children from years 5 & 6 enjoyed a fun afternoon on Wednesday - Quicksticks Hockey Festival is a fun, fast, and accessible introduction to Hockey for children aged 7–11. Supported by England Hockey, these events use a larger, lighter ball to promote inclusive, safe play for mixed abilities. It focuses on skill development and active participation.
